Watch Old Rusty Military Axe Restoration in New Channel | Channify

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. This old rusty military axe I found at flea market and both for $1USD. As seller said, this is military axe (ZIK) from Soviet Union century, years of issue 1958—1964. I bought it, because this steel is good but condition is bad. Well, first of all with iron brush I removed all first layers of rusty from axe blade and axe head and then I use electrolysis to remove all rusty. After washing axe began to looks better. I use also a drilling machine to make a deep gray effect with iron brushes and I don’t start to polish it and just correct the axe blade and sharpened. The axe handle I made from maple tree, I like this tree! I use a carpenter tools to make this handle for axe. In the bottom of handle I made hole and male reverts for lanyard. Finally, I use mas gas stove, please do not try this at home! Due to I don’t have a special burner for wood. And in the last step I use special oil for wood.
